The concept of trauma and the rise of various therapeutic methods aimed at healing different types of trauma have become prominent topics in psychotherapy in recent years. One of the most intriguing insights from this trend is that many of us have experienced some form of trauma—more or less severe—stemming from our childhood relationships with adults. This is known as developmental trauma. These early traumas significantly influence and affect all the relationships we form in adulthood.
